The demands placed on a folding/doubling or stack plating machine are versatile, but it should always be simple in design and operation.
Our machines are the result of many years of experience and state-of-the-art engineering principles. Folding machines essentially consist of two main parts, i.e. the unwinding unit with mounted folding frame and the actual rolling and winding machine.
Crease free winding
with straight edges
The folding frame is designed to allow sufficient adjustment of the folding triangle and the associated guide rails. In order to compensate for possible tension imbalances in the fabric, the bearing of the unwinding shaft can be adjusted laterally on one side.
The rolling and winding machine consists of a stand pair and contains the motor, a pair of secondary rollers, various guide and pendulum rollers as well as the winding unit. The latter is intended for the reception of driving cones or winding rods for cardboard cores and a winding blade for tambours (small boards) or flat cardboard.
To ensure that the fabric can be drawn in more easily, the two secondary rollers can be engaged and disengaged by lever actuation. The speed of these rollers is constant, i.e. they determine the working speed of the machine.
The winding unit is powered by an adjustable sliding clutch so that the winding hardness can be adjusted as required. The impacts produced by the flat winding are absorbed by a pendulum roller. The selvedge control is fully automatic. The selvedge sensor is a differential sensing device which only responds to selvedge movements. The sensitivity can be adjusted. If required, small web guiders can also be installed.
The measuring device is mounted on the roller frame. It consists of an inclined table, a precision measuring wheel with a counter-pressure device and a counter. For countries with calibration regulations, the measuring device is available on request in a calibratable version.
High pile plating:
from rolls to pallets
Efficient machines for the assembly of raw fabric batches and precise folding on pallets for subsequent transport. Also suitable as production line in combination with shearing machine.
Our stack plating machines can reach a speed of up to 80 m/min with continuous adjustable drives. This results in precision layers of 1 meter or yard length. A meter-yard changeover device is available upon request. The calibrated lengths of the layers are permitted by PTB Braunschweig.
Stack heights of up to 200 cm are possible. Fabric widths of up to max. 240 cm without or 400 cm with folding are possible at the inflow.
Fabric intake can take place from large docks, stacks and small rolls. The fabric is folded on transport pallets for large stacking heights or on an extendable table for small loads. The lowering of the table is adjusted automatically without the need for manual adjustment for different fabric thicknesses.
Additionally, our machines are equipped with layer identification for advancing the layer by 3 cm, for marking a seam (automatic seam detector) or the given length (preselection counter).
A folding device with an automatic differential selvedge sensor for exact folding also available in the standard version.
